Green Code
The Green Code Programme for Schools
The Green Code Programme for Schools is an exciting new sustainable development education project.  Its overall aim is to encourage young people to make simple lifestyle changes that will improve their environment.  To achieve this aim a unique package of high quality learning materials has been developed by teachers for teachers.

The Green Code Web Site

Learning across the curriculum
One of the Programme's strengths is the support it offers teachers in meeting the needs of the core curriculum.  All the resources have been designed in order to aid the delivery of literacy, numeracy and ICT initiatives.

The materials have been thoroughly piloted in schools across the country and will be continuously monitored by

The Green Code family
a panel of teachers.  As well as being great fun, the Programme has a sound educational base.  It is an excellent aid to delivering the curriculum across all age groups.

Interactive Learning Materials
The Green Code Programme for Schools' materials will be free to all schools.  They include:

Interactive CD ROMs
Eco-Cal for Schools, a specialised computer program that calculates how environmentally friendly you are.
A highly interactive web site which will be exciting and engaging.
A quiz-based computer game aimed at raising awareness of sustainable development.
Teachers' support materials.
Field to Fork - learning materials, farm and store visits for schools.
