across different roles it will help staff consider
potential career pathways.
Skills4schools is an online resource, created by
Unison, to help school staff access learning
opportunities at work. By providing an online guide
to training, development and career pathways, it
aims to help staff develop in their current roles,
make the move to new ones and take advantage of the
new career opportunities created by the School
Workforce Agreement.
In Birmingham the STEP training team offers a
comprehensive training and development service
to schools for support staff. This includes
generic personal skills programmes and courses to
meet the requirements of Government initiatives such
as the development of classroom based support staff.
