What next?

Cllr Les Lawrence, Cabinet Member for Education and Lifelong Learning, Tony Howell Strategic Director for Learning and Culture and Jon Hunt, Chairman of Education and Lifelong Learning Overview and Scrutiny Committee made the further pledges on behalf of the Council.

The Council Promises:

• To publish the recommendations of the anti-bullying Summit

• To incorporate ideas from the summit into a new strategy and anti-bullying action plan

• To continue to canvas the opinions of children and young people regarding bullying and to act on their recommendations

• To collaborate with agencies across the private, public and voluntary sectors regarding anti-bullying

• To report progress at another Summit in Anti-bullying week next year
