Booking and cancellation arrangements
Booking a place on the course
Each term you will receive separate information giving dates of the specific courses and new
developments offered in that term. On some occasions it will be necessary to offer a course with the
words “applications are invited for this course”.
We are then able to provide a service when we have sufficient applications to make it a more interesting and varied experience.
Application forms need to be filled in as normal leaving the date blank.
An application form will also be attached to the termly information which is increasingly being sent electronically.
Please photocopy or print for your needs. A blank application form, should be completed and returned by the closing date.
The cost of each course is shown against the course details on the termly information.
Associated administrative tasks connected with booking places on courses will be carried out by
STEP Training and Development Administrative Team.
Your Co-operation Is Appreciated
Please note that late arrival disrupts training and is unfair on other delegates.
Delegates arriving late will only be allowed to join their course at the trainer’s discretion.
Special Needs Of Participants
We welcome all applications.
Please tell us on the application form if you have a specific need.
Notification
We aim to make contact with course participants giving detail of joining instructions and other
information about the course ten days prior to the course to enable cover arrangements to be made.
Requests For Training From Anyone Other Than Children, Young People and Families Directorate
Employees
Priority will be given to Children, Young People and Families Directorate
employees for all our Courses and Services.
Prices are available on request for external bodies.
Attendance Certificates
We now have a policy of giving attendance certificates at the end of a course on request only for
people who require them for their portfolios. However, courses linked to qualifications will be issued
with certificates.
