Learning behaviour together
The Framework for Intervention proposes a structure for working with behaviour difficulties in the same way that the Code of Practice did for special educational needs.
It is addressed to all those working directly or indirectly with children who exhibit behavioural and emotional difficulties in educational settings.
The structure uses school improvement, teacher empowerment and environmental change to tackle concerns about students' behaviour.
It works for all ages and in all settings.
The Framework for Intervention web site, maintained by Inclusion Support,
describes an approach to the managing of behaviour in classrooms so that all children can learn and the teachers can teach.
It draws on research and experience from a large number of sources but adapts its practice to the Birmingham context.
