Schools Plus registers Qualified Teaching Assistants
for work on a casual supply basis across the city. We can
offer a variety of assignments to suit your needs,
inlcluding long and short term, occasional days or full
time.
Looking to work as a Casual Supply Teaching
Assistant?
Applications are welcome from Qualified Teaching
Assistants with the relevant childcare qualification,
e.g.NVQ level 3, NNEB, BTEC National Diploma or
equivalent.

If you are successful in your application to register
you will then be offered assignments matched against your
specific experience and requirements. As the work is
casual you will be under no obligation to accept
assignments that do not suit your particular needs and can
work as flexibly as you like.
The Recruitment Process
All Teaching Assistants are recruited to ‘Safer Recruitment for Schools Guidelines’.
This includes:
- Detailed shortlisting and scrutiny of application
forms
- Detailed reference checks available prior to
interview
- Enhanced Disclosure and List 99
- A formal face to face interview
- Medical clearance
- Identity checks
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Qualification checks
