How does the National Pyramid Trust work?
Pyramid clubs use a 3-stage programme for use in primary schools.
- Identifying a need -
children with significant social or emotional difficulties are identified. Usually the process is applied to a whole year group.
- Finding solutions
- this involves a positive form of help involving, for example, teachers, school nurse, educational psychologist, education welfare staff and behaviour support specialists. This often leads to referral elsewhere, help at home and at school and often membership of a pyramid club.
- Pyramid clubs -
around 9 or 10 of the children will be offered membership of a pyramid club.
