Future Plans
What plans have Pupil Watch made for the future?

Community

This year the Pupil Watch team aim to engage with early years providers such as:

  • Sure Start

  • Pre-school workers
  • Children’s Fund activities
  • James Brindley ‘Young Mothers to Be’

In order to engage with groups within the community and link with Attendance Development the successful ‘Inspire’ workshops previously run with BIP primaries will be developed to the ‘Cool Cats’ theme.

Pupil Watch aim to make links with places of worship within the community.

Meetings were held between Pupil Watch and Birmingham Anti-Social Behaviour Unit (BASBU) to develop links with the BASBU officers in order to identify areas for future joint work.

Business

Pupil Watch are in the process of developing a retail sticker to promote Pupil Watch, partnership working within the community and target parental condoned absence and truancy. Support has also been gained from Travel West Midlands.

Patrols

Patrols will be more intelligence led using information from West Midlands Police, Businesses and the Community.
