Opportunities for Learning
The
Community Education Development Centre is the only
national charitable trust which promotes learning as a
vehicle for social inclusion. Underpinning all
of their work is a commitment to enabling those who have
previously missed out to take an active part in society,
through learning.
CEDC was established in
1980. Based in Coventry, it is self-financing and
works throughout England and Wales to:

Involve all sections of the
community in learning, so that individuals can lead
fuller and more satisfying lives. |

Develop innovative approaches
to learning, reaching those in the community who
would not normally participate in education. |

Promote lifelong learning as
an important part of people's lives, bringing
benefits for their health and economic well-being,
as well as for their educational achievements. |

Find
ways to remove barriers to participate in learning. |
