To view the QuickStitch 360 panoramas you will need the QuickTime plug-in for your browser. Click to download it directly from Apple, free.

Web panoramas made simple
As part of a BECTa Geography project BASS and EdIT have joined forces to investigate how schools might create their own 360-degree panoramic 'virtual reality' photo-movies for the web - simply and inexpensively.

The panoramas of Birmingham accessible from this page were produced using an ordinary hand-held camera and a medium-range Pentium computer.  This site compares two computer programs downloaded from the web: QuickStitch 360 (£45) and PixMaker Lite (free).  As the panoramas are shown side by side on each page, you should expect some delay while both systems are loaded.
