The four stages of creating web
panoramas
Whichever
software is used there are four broad stages in the
process of producing a panorama for the web: |
|
 | Taking
photographs
Capturing a scene by taking a sequence of
overlapping photographs in different directions
from the same spot. |
|
|
 | Digitising images
Converting the photographs into electronic format
so that they can be stored as image files on a
computer. |
|
|
 | Stitching images
Using dedicated software such as QuickStitch
360 or PixMaker Lite to electronically
combine - or 'stitch' - the photographs together
into a single panoramic image. |
|
|
 | Publishing the
panorama
Adding the panorama to a web page so that users
can control the direction and zoom in or out to
explore the scene interactively. |
