Support for NQTs experiencing difficulty

The vast majority of NQTs have a very positive induction experience that provides the foundation for a successful future career.

Nevertheless, some NQTs will feel that they are not making satisfactory progress, and some will be judged by others to be in this situation.  If this occurs early action should be taken in order to support and advise the NQT to make any necessary improvements.

The guidance in the document below gives detailed advice for schools supporting, monitoring and assessing NQTs in difficulties.

NQTs beginning their induction from September 2007 will be working to the new TDA standards. We will add a link to the new standards, guidance and assessment forms as soon as they are published.
