MEMBERSHIP ACTIVITIES

One Stop Virtual Sharing and Learning Shop
Co-ordinated through the secretariat office, this vehicle allows the sharing of this expertise and good practice amongst the membership.

Seeing is Believing (SIB) events
These events are an effective platform for members to network and experience hands-on application of the Learning Community in a particular place. The events are a great opportunity to see how other cities engage in developing their policies; an opportunity to celebrate achievements and show success stories.

Glossy Newsletter
This twice yearly newsletter promotes LCN members’ good practice in the learning community, offering illustrations of what can be achieved when learning communities work together, helping to strengthen their capacity to deal with change and share best practice. This newsletter is sent widely throughout the UK and beyond and offers the chance to showcase good practice in members’ areas.

eNEWS
A monthly electronic newsletter to LCN members’ mailboxes, which in turn is circulated to members’ own local e-networks, thereby strengthening the networking activities.

Learning Community Awards
Any member can apply for up to £100 sponsorship from the LCN towards the cost of running a local Awards ceremony or sponsor an Award.

Certificate of Membership
Certificates are issued to all members during the course of the year for members to frame and display prominently in their office premises, showing both internal and external colleagues of their commitment to the organisation.

Website
The portal into the LCN continues to benefit both members and external colleagues on a whole range of activities with the opportunity to explore each other’s sites.
