Coming up on BGfL

The radical new design behind BGfL enables new sections of content to be built quickly and efficiently. The ability to add content dynamically – “on the fly” – makes it possible for new environments to expand rapidly – just take a look at  the BGfL Whiteboard Activities and BGfL eBook Library to see  the vast number of resources already available.

If you have any  resources, weblinks, or ebooks  that you can donate or recommend to go into these areas, do contact us using the Contribution button. Indeed, if you have any ideas for new content for other areas on BGfL, then use the Contribution button to tell us.

In the coming months look out for changes to the Conference Centre, and the launch of some important new websites including Achievement for All, Key Stage 3 Laughs, and an exciting new MFL environment for Key Stage 2 – more on this as these sites are launched.

Would you like to help shape BGfL?

There are several ways in which you can help keep BGfL as the number one local grid for learning.

  • The BGfL Content Review Group meets twice a term to discuss new content developments and monitor direction. It consists of teachers, heads, advisors, web developers and other LEA staff.

If you would like to get involved, contact bren_taylor@birmingham.gov.uk

  • An important aspect of BGfL content is that it is reviewed and evaluated by both teachers and pupils. As well as being an excellent curriculum activity in its own right (eg, as small group literacy work), it provides an opportunity to get your hands on resources before anyone else – and also a chance to suggest improvements and changes.

If you would like to get your pupils trained as reviewers, or you want to be a reviewer yourself, contact paul_busst@birmingham.gov.uk for further details.

  • Hit the Feedback Button! We really do listen to your feedback and use it to correct mistakes, provide new content, making it the Best Grid for Learning.
