What the School Set Out To Achieve:

  • Year Group(s) Involved:  Year 10 (lower band); Year 11 (upper band); Year 13

  • Curriculum Area:  English

  • Perceived Benefits:

    • Present a lesson to the whole class while facing them, using Easiteach studio.

    • Use PC Tablet and projector as interactive whiteboard for whole class teaching

    • Pupils can read and annotate electronic texts during discussions

    • Staff and pupils can include mind maps, diagrams and drawings easily in any assignment

    • Pupils can hand in homework in electronic form which can be annotated and marked directly

    • Pupils can roam – taking notes at theatre visits etc.

    • Motivator – especially for boys

  • Action Research Potential:  We would like to use the PC Tablets with: lower band Yr 10; upper band Yr 11; Yr 13.  We would like to report on how they make our lives in the classroom easier, where their use was most appreciated and had the greatest motivational impact.
