Human Resources is a Division of Performance and Support Services Directorate.  The focus of the Service is to support schools, the Education Department and other educational establishments by enabling them to fulfil their statutory obligations, to facilitate good practice and to develop and maintain long term initiatives in terms of the policies and procedures related to all personnel issues.

Schools Plus

Schools Plus provides a professional recruitment service to schools, including advertising vacancies, recruiting teachers and support staff for temporary and permanent appointments, through to overseeing criminal records checks for all newly appointed staff.

STEP Training

The STEP Training unit supports the training and development of all Education Service staff and all support staff in schools, helping them carry out their work more effectively.  STEP provides a termly programme of courses, bespoke training, consultancy, links to providers and support for managers.
