Birmingham Health Education Unit

Birmingham Health Education Unit supports schools and other organisations through training, consultancy, research, resources and policy development in:

  • All aspects of Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) and Citizenship.
  • Drug Education and Prevention and Drug related incidents.
  • Child Protection, Sex and relationship education.
  • The Birmingham Healthy School Standard.
  • Broader approaches to emotional health and well being.

All staff are widely experienced in their field.  Most are from a background in teaching.  Their experience in primary, secondary and special schools is enhanced by the inclusion, on the team, of a police sergeant, a school nurse and a Dietician.

We also work closely with Birmingham Health Authority and NHS Health Promotion England.
