A complete change to service inspection for children will be achieved by bringing together into Ofsted the children s social care remit of the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI), the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS) inspection remit of Her Majesty s Inspectorate of Court Administration (HMICA) and, the inspection remit of the Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI).

A report by the Practitioners' Group on School Behaviour and Discipline. The Practitioners' Group on School Behaviour and Discipline was established by Ministers in May 2005 to give independent advice to the Government as to how behaviour in schools could be improved.  In October 2005 the Group published a report which is of interest to all those who play a role in improving behaviour in schools, such as: Teachers, Parents, Governor and Local authorities.

… and over 35 languages are being taught in mainstream primary and secondary schools, according to CILT, the National Centre for Languages. Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that almost 40 000 student achieved a qualification in at least one community language.
