Fair Funding Development progresses under the guidance of the Fair Funding Development Group (FFDG).  This is a group of officers, representatives of Headteacher Fora and representatives from the Teachers Associations.  The group has specific terms of reference to lead and focus on ongoing issues relating to Fair Funding.  It also reports directly to the Birmingham Schools Forum.  Current membership and terms of reference are as follows:

Work Programme

  • Provide the lead and focus on ongoing issues relating to Fair Funding, establish a timetable for action and a framework for development.

  • Agree terms of reference for the Fair Funding Task Groups.
  • Receive progress reports from the Task Groups and agree delegation proposals.
  • Consider national changes as prescribed by the DfES.
  • Co-ordinate the consultation process on Fair Funding issues.
  • Consider relevant submissions to members, the Birmingham Schools Forum and the DfES.
  • Provide feedback to relevant groups as appropriate.
  • Commission and consider any other Fair Funding Development Work for April 2004 and / or future years as appropriate.
