Focus on Africa
This project
will enable pupils to gain a sense of Europe as an
entity and to understand that as a whole, it has a
variety of relationships with other parts of the World,
specifically with the focus on Africa.
Europe’s
relationship with Africa might include a variety of
themes such:

relationships

European
languages in Africa
|

Basic
awareness of the continent and key information etc.

Major
trade between Africa and Europe
|
|
Implications
of renewable and non-renewable resources
|
|
Images
and perceptions
|
|
People
and in particular what we have in common in terms of
concerns about for example, our environment and our
future
|
Teachers will
work together to create material which will aim to give
substance to ideas about sustainable development.
The material will be produced through Birmingham’s
Development Resource Centre and made available to
schools. |
