Development Plan
The Education
and Lifelong Learning Committee in Birmingham has
supported the establishment of the Year of Europe.
In addition to the elements identified on our National Perspective
page the Year will support the delivery of Birmingham’s
Education Development Plan, specifically Priorities 3, 4
and 8.
A
stated aim is to reach the broadest spectrum of
individuals, schools and communities across the City. We
will ensure that the following are included as focus
areas for projects and activities:
 |
Early
years ( 0-5 years) |
 |
Primary |
 |
Secondary |
 |
Special
needs |
 |
Gifted
and talented |
 |
Raising
achievement / raising standards |
 |
Post-16 |
 |
The
wider community
|
Extra
support will be offered to community day nurseries,
children in the public care and special educational
needs to promote awareness of European issues. |
