Get in touch - Go European!
The wide array of activities comprising Birmingham's celebration of the Year of Europe is essentially co-ordinated by seven working groups, each chaired by a specialist in their particular field.  For example, the Arts and Creativity Group are supporting projects such as Teachers as Interpreters (story writing), the Snapshots Challenge (images, poems and songs), and Sounds Like Europe (music).  The other groups have an equally fascinating repertoire of projects, making it very easy for your school to get involved.  Just contact any of the group co-ordinators.

A wealth of initiatives
In addition to the Birmingham activities there are a range of national and international initiatives.  For example, Speak Out! is an internet-based project focusing on citizenship.  And the European Year of Languages Conference, hosted at Birmingham's International Convention Centre in October, is set to be a major event.
