Aims and Objectives for the Year
Our overall aim for the Year is:
to support, encourage and promote greater awareness of Europe amongst teachers, governors, students and the wider community in Birmingham.

The following objectives will help us achieve this.  Through projects, activities and links the Year will:

Explore the cultural diversity of Europe

Raise the status of bilingualism and pupils’ home languages

Support the raising of standards through increased pupil motivation

Raise the profile of Birmingham as a European and International City

Encourage a greater understanding of how Europe works

Promote the professional development of teachers, classroom assistants and other school based education staff in European education
