Advantages
over traditional methods There
are many uses for mind-mapping which we will
explore over the coming months and years.
There are many occasions when mind-mapping
electronically will give us major advantages
over traditional methods and it is primarily
these that we will be planning to utilise in
this project.
Teachers Teachers
will benefit from this resource in a variety of
ways:
A variety of
content-based mind maps to support different
subjects - allowing teachers, at a glance,
to see "the whole picture" and
different aspects of topics that they are
planning.
Mind maps to
encourage the implementation of different
aspects of accelerated learning techniques.
Mind maps
which act as study guides which teachers may
wish to adapt or use wholesale.
Mind maps
which allow teachers to see "the whole
picture" and different aspects of
topics that they are planning.
Students Students
will also benefit in different ways:
It is useful
for students to have an overview of the
topic in question, giving them a conceptual
framework on which they can add detail.
Some content
can be presented in a mind map form.
Students
should be introduced to various strategies
to aid their learning, especially in the
areas of thinking, learning, recall and
revising.
