Commonwealth Travel Grants
If it is difficult for the school to release two teachers at the same time, teachers can apply with the League for the Exchange of Commonwealth Teachers for one of their Travel Grants.
There are 100 grants available each academic year, worth up to £500.
This grant can be used for overseas visits, exchanges and job shadowing.

LECT International Study trips
The League for the Exchange of Commonwealth Teachers (LECT) is also offering International study trip opportunities to Commonwealth countries as well as Europe for a visit linked to professional development.

Council of Europe In-service Training Programme
The scheme enables teachers and educators (including inspectors, headteachers, teacher trainers etc.) to take part in in-service training courses abroad.
These courses take place over 3 to 5 days and cover a wide variety of themes from ‘Human rights and children’s rights’ in Belgium to ‘Drama and civic education’ in Bulgaria.
Cost of tuition and accommodation is funded by the host countries.
