Birmingham has over 285,000 young people aged 19 or under, which is a bit under a third of the whole population.
Our young people come from many different communities and backgrounds and make enormous contributions to the life of the city.
In 2002, the Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership was set up to bring together all the services that offer support to young people.
This includes health services, youth service, education, social care, leisure, police and many others.
The Partnership is one of the family of partnerships that is helping to shape the city’s services, part of the City Strategic
Partnership.
