| Early Years Provision
Criteria |
| The high staff/child ratios enable individual educational programmes to be pursued while ensuring monitoring of complex medical needs. There are emergency procedures in place with clear guidelines for staff to act upon. The nursery is equipped with a wide range of facilities and all staff are trained in the education of children with medical care needs. |

He is prone to respiratory infections, convulsions, urinary infections and temperature instability. These limit the continuity of his educational programme. |

| Eleanor (Y5) has cryptogenic generalised epilepsy, (causing generalised seizures for which no cause has been found). They remain uncontrolled and while most occur at night she also has daytime attacks. She is often drowsy during the day and unable to concentrate. Her seizures require medication administered by trained staff and sometimes oxygen if she has breathing difficulties. |
