The school curriculum promotes personal care and safety and, as necessary, allows for regular medical intervention, which is student managed, according to their age, under adult supervision. Compensatory arrangements are made to ensure curriculum continuity. |
| Staffing |
All staff must be aware of student’s individual medical and/or personal care needs and their implications / treatment. Advice is sought from appropriate agencies regarding medical and health and safety procedures. |
| Resources |
Healthcare resources and procedures readily available to students in supervised situations. An individual care plan is developed in partnership with parents/ carers and health care professionals. |
Environment
and Facilities |
Designated and secure storage area for healthcare resources. Private, accessible areas which are available for routine medical procedures.
