PERSONAL, SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIOURAL EDUCATION
Provision  
Curriculum PSHE / Citizenship elements within all subject schemes of work to ensure consistency of approach. Jointly negotiated PSHE / Citizenship targets used as basis for specific targets within the IEP to promote behavioural and/or emotional development and maximise curricular access.
Staffing Staff able to use audit and plan their teaching environment for optimal learning and behaviour.Staff able to identify strategies and develop PSE/Citizenship targets as a priority across all subject areas to promote behavioural and / or emotional skills through negotiation with individual students.
Resources Policies and procedures for the close management and supervision of individual students and the monitoring and review of IEPs. Specific resources which are subject based to support the development of PSHE / Citizenship skills. Guidelines for risk assessment.
Environment
and Facilities
High level of environmental audit and adaptation. A room available for the counselling of students across the school. Concentration on structured and consistent environment.
Assessment  
With adult supervision sometimes follows routines in the learning environment. Is working towards: taking care with own / others’ learning materials, moving from deliberate destruction of own materials and /or responding with aggression or bad language to frustration. Learning to accept and value social rewards and place value on own achievements.
