PERSONAL, SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIOURAL EDUCATION
Provision  
Curriculum In-class differentiation of National Curriculum to provide optimal curricular environment to minimise behavioural / emotional difficulty. Delivery of PSHE / Citizenship curriculum adapted to address specific concerns about behaviour.
Staffing Staff able to carry out audit of their teaching environments to make improvements for optimal learning and behaviour through use of Behaviour Environment Plans. Staff able to differentiate delivery of whole school PSHE / Citizenship programmes to address concerns.
Resources School behaviour policy sensitive to the role of the environment with resources and a range of strategies for its implementation. Flexible curricular materials to support specific areas of PSHE / Citizenship programmes. Guidelines for risk assessment.
Environment
and Facilities
Behavioural / learning environments checked by teachers annually and as concerns arise, to identify aspects for change to promote positive behaviour and learning.
Assessment  
Follows most but not all routines in the learning environment. Is able to work most of the time without producing low level distractions which interfere with concentration of self and others. Can look after own materials to some extent. May need symbolic rewards to back up social rewards. Shows sign of responding to self- monitoring and planning strategies.
