ASSESSMENT including the student's contribution
Provision  
Curriculum Students evaluate their performance in learning activities with teacher direction and differentiated materials. Students’ self assessment routinely used to set individual learning targets, which contribute towards individual education plan (IEP). Full inclusion in all school assessments, statutory assessments and tasks.
Staffing Staff skilled in providing students with regular self evaluation activities through the curriculum. Staff skilled at interpreting student self assessment to set differentiated learning targets. Staff able to carry out all school assessments and statutory assessment and tasks. SENCo monitors the processes of assessment.
Resources Differentiated materials to support self evaluation. School differentiated assessment records taking account of the full range of SEN.
Environment
and Facilities
Staff consider appropriate modifications to student groupings, seating arrangements and surroundings to reflect student’s needs as part of assessment.
Assessment  
The student assesses, records and reports own progress with initial adult direction, intermittent monitoring and differentiated materials.
