The Learning Centre

The Learning Centre in Birmingham Central Library offers a wide range of courses and support, including CV services, job library, prospectuses, ESOL and key skills.

There are five other Library Learning Centres across the city, and they really are something quite special.

Homework Help Clubs

Libraries throughout Birmingham provide excellent technical and resources support for young people, 11 - 14 years.  All Homework Clubs provide free internet access and printing, for homework purposes.  Full details are given in this document.

learndirect is a new way of learning on-line in the library or at home, and many courses are absolutely FREE!

The Learning Shop offers a drop-in service for everyone.  It's there to help you make effective choices about training, learning, courses and working.

Local English and Basic Skills

Every library in Birmingham now has a basic skills and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) collection of materials to help you.
