Referrals

Referrals from schools and other agencies

The Service accepts referrals from a wide variety of agencies including schools. Referrals are considered on a weekly basis, throughout the school term.

  • To make a referral for a Primary age child please speak to your In-School Support worker or ring your local centre to discuss your concerns. You may then be asked to complete the Primary Referral Form.

  • For secondary age pupils, still attending a secondary school, referrals are made to the In-School Support (ISS) Teacher for the school.

  • Excluded pupils, and those with Statements of Special Education Needs are referred by LEA officers.
