The parents and carers area of the BGfL has a
range of links to help with issues such as homework,
family support, bullying and getting a place in
school.

This service offers information to explain special

Parents' Centre
This is the government's website for parents and
carers with a host of useful links including a whole
section on behaviour and discipline.

Advisory Centre for Education
The Advisory Centre for Education (ACE) is an
independent, registered charity, which offers
information about state education in England and
Wales for parents and carers of school age children.
It offers free telephone advice on subjects like
exclusion from school, bullying, special educational
needs and school admission appeals.

Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board
The statutory board which has been set up as part of
the Every Child Matters reforms, and requires all
organisations that work with children to cooperate
to keep children safe from harm. They have
supportive information about challenging bullying on
their website.
