The Annual Capital Guidelines allocation is the method by which funding is sourced for the following key areas:

• Basic Need - to fund extra pupil places

• Special Education Needs (SEN) - projects relating to proposals for SEN pupils

• Voluntary Aided - major works projects at VA schools

• Targeted Capital Fund

For other than Targeted Capital Fund (TCF), bids are submitted in October with a decision in late December early January.  The TCF bid is made in January, and the decision made known in March. ACG funding actually comes on stream in the following financial year.
