East Birmingham College takes a practical approach to inclusion and diversity, based on the belief that all members of the community can benefit from education and training, and that the role of the college is to enable all to achieve their individual potential.
In one sense, if you have a disability or learning difficulty, you are treated the same as everyone else in the college.
For example, the admissions system and the tutorial system are basically the same for all students.
All students and staff share the same college facilities. However the college does recognise that there are individuals, groups and communities who may require particular facilities and provision to be available to help them to be successful.
The College policy says that all staff are responsible for developing inclusion and diversity.
There are named individuals and groups with specific responsibilities.
