Welcome

The work of Admissions and Appeals embraces all aspects of obtaining and allocating school places:

• Producing literature for parents on the primary and secondary admission processes.
  
  

• Co-ordinating the Education Service’s procedures for transfer of pupils from primary to secondary school.
  
  
• Administering the selective tests process at 11+ for Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School and Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls.
  
  
• Providing advice and guidance to schools and parents on admission procedures, including the transfer of pupils between schools.
  
  
• Acting as the initial contact for parents who wish to make appeals for schools which are full.
  
  
• Representing schools as the admission authority at independent appeal hearings.
